Track, lock, or erase your iPhone from icloud.com — works in Ghana on all networks
iCloud Find My iPhone is the web-based version of Apple's device tracking feature. Instead of using the Find My app on another Apple device, you go to icloud.com in any web browser — on Android, Windows, or another iPhone — sign in with your Apple ID, and access Find My from there.
This is especially useful in Ghana when your iPhone is lost or stolen and you only have access to an Android phone or a computer. You do not need another Apple device to track your iPhone.
iCloud Find My works on MTN Ghana, Vodafone Ghana, and AirtelTigo data connections. Any internet connection works — mobile data or Wi-Fi.

Enter your Apple ID email and password. Complete two-factor authentication if prompted.
On the iCloud home screen, click the Find My icon (looks like a radar). This opens the map view.
Click "All Devices" at the top and select your missing iPhone from the list.
Choose: Play Sound (if nearby), Mark as Lost (locks it, displays your number), or Erase iPhone (wipes all data permanently).
GPS accuracy in Accra: In dense urban areas like Accra CBD, Okaishie, and Tema, GPS location through iCloud is generally accurate to within 5–20 metres. In less-connected areas, accuracy may be lower.
Offline tracking: If your iPhone is switched off or out of mobile data, the Find My network can still detect it via Bluetooth signals picked up by nearby Apple devices. This anonymous relay system works even in Ghana where Apple device density is lower than in Western countries, though coverage is less reliable in rural areas.
Data connection required on the lost device: For real-time location, the iPhone must have an active MTN, Vodafone, or AirtelTigo data connection. If the SIM was removed and no Wi-Fi is available, real-time tracking stops (offline tracking may still work).
If you are selling your iPhone in Ghana, you must remove it from your iCloud account before handing it over. Failure to do this results in the new owner receiving an Activation Lock-blocked phone — which is worthless and can cause serious disputes.

Losing your iPhone at a busy market or having it stolen in traffic are real risks in Accra. iCloud Find My is your first line of defence. Here is how Ghanaian users typically use it:
Lost at Makola or Kaneshie Market: Open icloud.com from another phone, log in, play sound — the phone will beep even on silent. If the sound brings no result, mark it as Lost immediately. This locks the screen and displays your contact number for a potential finder to call.
Stolen from a vehicle: Mark as Lost the moment you realise it is gone. This prevents the thief from using it or accessing your data. Even if they insert a new SIM, the phone remains locked. They cannot sell it to any informed buyer in Ghana — iCloud locked phones are worth nothing to legitimate buyers.
Left at a friend’s house: Use Play Sound from the Find My app on another Apple device — faster than calling them. The location on the map will confirm exactly where it is.
The key is acting quickly. The sooner you mark a phone as Lost, the better the outcome. Enable Find My on your iPhone now before you ever need it.
Every PixelDrop GH iPhone is verified iCloud-free. You check it yourself before paying.
